Blame it on the time change!

I would go ahead and start this 1st post EVER with me...But, maybe later. Just gotta get a little parenting stress off my chest first...Lol

Meet my oldest,
Meet Noah:

Cute right? *blows hot air on my knuckles and rubs them on my shoulder* He's very Charismatic, happy, goofy, independent, charming, and almost three! (November 8th, 2008 to be exact!)

Now lets get down to the nitty gritty (Nacho Libre) of this new blog of mine, and why I suddenly have the urge to blog in the first place. Now this little boy goes to bed at 8pm every night and wakes up at 7am every morning. Its like clockwork. You've got kids on a routine?...Well then, you know exactly what I'm talking about, don't you? Time change. I hate it. Never have before, but I do now. Let me tell you why...
6am. No, not 7am. 6am (or so we believe) Noah gets up. Rey (my wonderful Hubby) and I still sound asleep...He's quiet. Doesn't say a peep...For a whole hour. Got that?
Well, when we wake, you know what we find - take a lucky guess...??

Cd's thrown out the window, and fed to the dogs...
Bread, bread crumbs, and bowls, all over the guest bed...
Call the plumber, there's toy fish and aligators stuffed down the bathroom drain...
A twelve foot, Black Permanent sharpie marker line drawn across the white carpet...
Salad dressing all over the the pulled out Dvds...
Cd in the tape player, as if it's going to play music...
When really, he should have been doing this - like the rest of us folks!...

What wack job parents did this kid come from?!? Man!! (More to come from them in future blogs, I'm sure! - haha) So my question to you is, at what point is it okay to beat your kids? Lol, seriously. Well, as hard as it is, I guess these are the times as a parent you just need to go back and think about the positive, cute things they've done in the PAST...huh?
Like organizing his shoes (and socks, LOL)
Cheers to better days, future blogs...and much needed naps! :)

SO...Wanna win? You know you do! ;) Have your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, anybody you know done something so looney, so wacky, or so out of character, where you thought to yourself, "who is this kid, and where did they come from!?!" Tell me your story - and you can win this:

The one thing that I will never forget is when my oldest was 3 he had gotten up early and got into the fridge and put a chucnk of cheese in the tea pitcher and then pour it all over the living room carpet.

OMG that is so hilarious! Sounds like something Diego would do! For the longest time we couldnt get Kylie's DVD player to work....I was so frustrated....then my dad got her a new one. When I took her old one out, I tipped it up and a Shrek DVD came out! I couldn't see it because it was jammed in there and then plop...it falls right on the floor. LOL! I think Diego wanted to watch a movie! :) Oh, and a cute thing he does.....he refuses to take off his Spiderman costume...lol....since Halloween....he has been Spiderman...go figure!

My daughter's only 7 months so not too many crazy things yet, but I already dislike the time change as well. I used to love the fall and gaining an extra hour of sleep, but baby girl has decided that we just need to move up our schedule and I'm NOT a morning person.

Your blog is so cute, I have to share this. ..The other day my friend calls to tell me this... After getting home and unpacking bags from Wal-Mart my friend discovered that her son (age 5) had stuck a few extra things in the basket without her noticing. Plus, they were items she told him he could not have.. When she began to scold him about the things his response was, "Sorry mom I put them in there when you wern't looking cause I'm a little sneaker"
CUTE!!

I have to pick just one? lol

I was always very open (maybe too open) "ahem" with my daughters and they would come into the bathroom with me whenever I needed use it. One day, I was at work and my daughter was old enough to tell my hubby that she needed to use the bathroom; he offered to go with her, but she chose to go by herself. He realized that she had been gone a bit too long, and discovered her in the bathroom with a sanitary pad put in her underpants(sort of) and she was busy unwrapping a tampon lol Omgosh, she was all of 2 1/2 yrs old!!

She also liked to unwrap pounds of butter and eat them while walking through the house in just a pair of tights and her diaper lol

We were golfing. My son just got brand new leather gloves. His ball gets muddy. There is a water hole. He sticks his hand in glove and all to wash the ball.

After the birth of my son, I was so tired I fell asleep on the couch. I woke up to pains in my legs. My three year old daughter was shaving them! She said she wanted to "help" me. I admit they did need shaved!

The last time I was distracted dealing with the baby my 3 year old squeezed under the fence that blocks the utility room so he could dig through the cat litter boxes. I found him proudly holding up a cat poop he had dug up. Needless to say it was straight to the bath for him for a VERY thorough scrub down. Yuck! He knows better than to do something like that. When I asked him why I got the typical child answer of "I don't know". I think he gets a bit jealous of his baby brother sometimes and acts out even though he doesn't know that is why he is doing it. Kids, LOL, they are an adventure.

My daughter was sitting in the pantry eating an entire bunch of bananas because someone at school told her she would grow taller overnight if she ate bananas!

A few years ago when my son was 7, we were home on a cold snowy night. He was playing ever so peacefully in his room and I was sitting on the couch reading. As you can see it was an odd night. I thought I heard something but when I looked around there was nothing to be seen, then my son pops up behind the couch. I asked him what he was doing. He looked me square in the eye, plucked a single hair out of my head and says 'oh nothing' as he takes off down the hall. I hollered after him 'What was that all about?' He responds flippantly 'just an experiment, nothing to worry your pretty head over' and laughes evilly. No more sci-fi for him!!!

my girlfriend babysits two little girls and one day i came home to find pans in the fridge, dog food in the fish tank, pencil crayons pushed in any hole possible (snapped off doorstop hole, cd holes etc).

my girlfriend was chasing the 2 year old asking her to let go of the dogs tail, sweating and looking like she was ready to collapse.

the kids are extremely nutty and everyday is workout for my girl!

When my daughter was a toddler I took her shopping at a department store. She was in the cart and I had finished and went to the checkout. It was busy and as I was standing in line my daughter, at the top of her voice, yelled MOVE!
Everyone turned to look....I think my face was redder than Santa's suit

I took my nephew to see my mother-in-law in the hospital. It was during the holiday season and they had a lighted Menorah in the lobby. My nephew wanted me to pick him up so he could see it. The next thing I know he took a deep breath and blew out all the candles. I was mortified. Thank goodness the staff was so understanding.

My "where did this kid come from?" moment was when my then 2 year old son decided that in return for having been tortured by his (then 7 year old) sister all day, and being reminded that he couldn't hit girls, decided to borrow mommy's rachet and disassemble her bunk bed while she slept. Oh, the howls!

When my daughter was 2 we saw her feet sticking out from under the curtain. Looking to see what she was hiding, we discovered she was covered in margarine! She had opened it up and was eating it. Eww....

My daughter neverwants to go to bed on time. Then one night she comes over and kissing me goodnight and say I am going to bed. I was shocked it wasn't even quite her bedtime. When I asked why she said she was practicing being good for Santa.

I was taken by surprise one day when my oldest daughter stripped down and covered her entire body in finger paint. At least it washed off.

My brother-in-law was saying that his daughter called to tell him that she couldn't find the cat and she thought it ran away. He asked to speak to his (older) son and when he came on the line he asked him if he knew where the cat was. In all seriousness, his son said "we have a cat?" They'd had the cat for over two years.

My toddler is a master of the hidden pen/crayon trick. Just a few weeks ago she crawled up on the toybox, leaned against the wall, and drew crayon all over my windowsill and window! I'm still trying to clean it up!

My nephew has recently started screaming. It' not because he's sad or particularly happy, just for the sake of screaming. It's cute for about a minute, but after that...... Thanks for the giveaway!

My older son, several years back, was at a birthday party in a park. Got a call from the hosting mother, saying that my son had managed to trip over a crack in the sidewalk and break his arm. Luckily there were some medically trained people playing tennis just the other side of the fence -- but we learned that if you have a choice, drive yourself to the hospital, 'cause the Ambulance fees are INSANE!

My daughter, when she was 4, once left our apartment one morning while I was still sleeping. It took the neighbor about a half hour of knocking to wake me up. It was the cold of winter, and he found her outside the front door, trying to get back in. She said she left to go to the 7-11!

When my niece was young she had gotten into her older sister's polly pocket dolls and she ate one of them!

Her parents took her to the Er, and I met them there, when I asked her if she had swallowed a baby, she said "no, I ate the momma, she went into my mouth down my belly and will come out my arm." Sorry kiddo, that isn't where the momma will come out from lol.

Thankfully everything turned out ok, but what a crazy kid.

My 5-year-old twins got up in the middle of the night and decided to play "Scientist" in their shared bathroom by mixing together every toiletry they had (toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, etc) and smearing it all over the floor.

My mother-in-law described coming home one day to find that the padlock on the pantry door (where all the candy was kept) was discolored and the room was filled with smoke.

Apparently my husband (about five at the time) had found a "smoke grenade"-type firework, and, thinking it was more of an M-80-type explosive, had taken out the powder charge and packed it into a small metal container, then attached it to the lock and lit the fuse...

Imagine his disappointment when it simply emitted a jet of smoke -- "Where was the earth-shaking kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shaking kaboom!!"

Apparently he figured the consequences would be worth it (shake head, roll eyes)...

My daughter told a waitress at a restaurant (when she asked what I wanted to drink) that, "my mommy only drinks at night". Now she must have thought I was a drunk LOL. My kids are always snatching my juice during the day and I always complained that I had to do my drinking at night.
